This website has been our slow and tedious labour of love which still requires work but we're committed and are constantly making improvements. You'd only need to skim read our "Forum updates - On going thread" to confirm this.
What you also need to take into consideration is that there's only six of us in a team who have real life jobs, education commitments and responsibilities. We work on this site in our spare time. Even in our spare time, we require a moment or two to ourselves.
With regards to content, we take 'body positively' seriously and whilst there will be questionable content or post left by members from time to time, if it violets our 'forum rules and guidelines', it will be removed as soon as we spot it. Members can help by clicking on "report to moderator", some already do this but not enough.
If members report a thread or post, they are resolved within 48hrs.
Guysome11 in your prime, you were once a committed moderator (be it on another forum) so you know how regulating a forum works. We're now coming to 40k member post and that's not to say we will back down from our responsibilities, but with members help, we can deal with many issues a lot more quickly and efficiently.
There's quite a few discussions taking place in our administration section and like you mentioned there's one more puzzle left, the front-end. Ideally we want a new article being published on a weekly basis. Everything is still being discussed but as always, we'll let members know as soon as anything is confirmed.
Hiding some of our boards has nothing to do with advertisers. If some boards contain controversial content, I have a responsibility to save the children. It's called being Batman.
Monetisation is a complex subject we use various ad-networks who have their own policies. All we do is make sure we comply with them. It's as simply as that.
