There is also a small picture of her in a bikini in her autobiography but she was only 15 at the time.
Also, I'm not sure if negative news counts for anything, but the first of the handful of theatrical films that she made is a movie called C.H.O.M.P.S. Not only does Valerie not show her navel in it, the only scene where she isn't 100% dressed is a scene where she's wearing a tennis outfit (and an old style tennis outfit at that, not even the newer ones that show a lot of leg.)
