Apologies for the spamming peeps. Currently, deleting and perma-banning all accounts linked to that ip.
It's most likely one individual spamming or testing vulnerabilities in the forum-up system. He/ she is unable to post in locked threads which means, if the spamming gets to the point where it becomes ridiculous to manage... all boards will be locked and access to them will be granted individually.

There are groups of spammers who have been identified by the forumup team. They've been spamming the Nombrilla forum too.
They tend to be from African and Eastern European countries.
At the moment, it's pointless banning by IP address as they use IP masking. What Christy does on Nombrilla is simply ban the member by name and remove the spam.
It tends to go in phases. The best thing to do is never click on a spam link, just in case. If you see spam that you don't think that T&N or moderator has noticed, please report it.

I thought as much, I began banning by name just a few days ago and it seemed to be much more effective. We're now on top of things (fingers crossed), t&n mods have been inboxing me the names and IP's for bans which has been working fab. My thanks goes out to them awesome ppl :wink:
