Loved this scene, didn't expect it, loved the film even more. I really thought Marvel will scew this one up but they did the oppsite. 8)

I feel that this movie and its sequel get a lot more hate than they deserved. Yes, there's a lot of empty filler that is only there to set up sequels that never happened, but there are many goodies mixed in as well.

I think the biggest problem with both the movies (especially the first) was that they just covered way too much ground that people had already seen before. The latest X-Men film has the same issue from what I hear.

I think the director and the studio executives had very different visions in minds, so they filmed many options, and then tried to cram it all together in the editing process. The end results were just too messy.
