So I saw Warcraft, and I would have to say it... It wasn't terrible. Not the worst film I've ever seen, but not a great one, either. I feel that the CGI was amazing throughout, but the acting and the lack of development for everyone was very subpar. I feel the acting wasn't horrid, but the thing for me is that it needed to be a longer movie. In the beginning, the movie jumped around very rapidly, almost too much so because I was very lost at first with what was going on. They jumped between three locations and introduced characters without any names or any sort of 'here, casual movie goers, allow us to introduce you to this world so you know what the rules are or at least know what the hell is going on.' There was none of that. They throw the main human character at us without any real introduction, and from that moment on, I never felt much for him or knew much about him. I didn't care about any of the characters with the exception of the main orc character, and that was it.
So yeah, I think it should have been longer. Two hours and twenty to thirty minutes, and I feel they could have expanded and explained a lot more to make it so that we cared about the characters and knew what they were and where they were coming from. But as it stands, I would give it a 6.5 out of 10.
