Don't worry, I'm sure we'll get a Gotham Central TV show (what Gotham probably should have been from the start) at some point years down the line. Speaking of which, I actually still need to read that series.

Earlier this year, I shared my thoughts on Suicide Squad, so I will now do so for Doctor Strange. Let me just say, I do not like DC's films. I may love heroes like Batman, but their movies are boring, chaotic, and muddled, which makes them awful. They make me ashamed to see characters I love, have their reputations insulted by foolish visionaries, who only care about money. I have no such feelings toward Marvel; In fact, I thank them for reminding me why I fell in love with superheroes in the first place. And Doctor Strange is no exception. Go watch it. I encourage you to experience it for yourself. Doctor Strange is a superhero movie which dares to be more than just that. It tells a meaningful story with so many takeaways. It's superb cast(led by a compelling Benedict Cumberbatch) shines as much as the film's rich spectacle. The action and visual effects are a dream come true. What also plays to it's advantage, is how this origin story isn't afraid to be fresh and even a bit tragic. Stephen Strange, a once glorified neurosurgeon, is a broken man, angry at the world. There are moments where it feels slightly raw, with us being able to see his struggle. To watch a flawed character like him grow enriches his development, and our connection to him, because we learn as he does. It also handles it's conflict and resolution with the threat uniquely. Benedict Wong and Rachel Mcadams stole my heart with their wonderful parts, even if they were minimal. The future itself, was laid out beautifully, as a GREAT plan will take effect soon. I am keeping this ti a minimum because I don't want to spoil something I thought was special. Again, go see it. To summarize, Marvel Studios leaves great hope for their fans as the company reinvents itslef in many ways. In this fan's opinion, it is a great time to be a Marvel fan. Perhaps the best even.

Looks like you weren't the only one to see the movie, because it made an estimated $84 million at the box office. That's over-performing, because they were expecting $60 million or less.

A spiritual successor to The Fifth Element. And bonus, fans of Cara will see her bellybutton, too. Although, I would prefer she and Rihanna switch their roles.

On the plus side, they are recreating scenes from the original anime movie. And the downside, it looks like the live action Aeon Flux movie, and that's not a good thing. Oh, and I'm still not okay with the whitewashing.

Especially since they could have just gone with Rinko Kikuchi.

I saw this the other night. Great movie, the best smart film about aliens since Contact. In a way, it was more like a Star Trek movie in terms of themes than the last three Star Trek movies.

Indian action movie about this badass chick going after a ring of child traffickers. Staring Rani Mukherjee but she appears to keep her navel covered.

And this!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrzXIaTt99UAlthough too much Tony Stark/Iron Man for my taste. I don't care for Batman appearing in every DCEU movie in order to guarantee big money no matter how much screen time her gets, and I feel the same way with Marvel using Iron Man as a crutch.
