I think he means "Please don't be a sequel that just a beat for beat remake of the original, via The Hangover 2." Thing about the first Taken was that it felt surprisingly grounded despite its ridiculousness plus Liam Freaking Neeson bringing the perfect combination of badass AND humanity to the lead role. Taken 2 and 3 were just more of the same but even more ridiculous.
